Baluchi

Baluchi is spoken in parts of Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, India, Arab Gulf States, and Turkmenistan. It is Classified as a member of the Indo- European language group and is closely related to Kurdish and Farsi. There are two main dialects of Baluchi: Eastern And Western. Estimating the number of Baluchi speakers is difficult worlwide because the governments of these countries do not stress ethinic or linguistic identitiy in census reports. Nevertheless, estimates of people speaking Baluchi range between 10 -15 million throughtout the world. Most of these speak a western dialect of Baluchi, which is also the dialect that has been used in Baluchi literature. Within that western dialect there are two additional dialects, Rakshani and Mekrani.

Brahui

Brahui is spoken in Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan. There are about two million Brahui speakers. Brahuis are bilingual. In addition to Brahui most of them speak Baluchi. The three primary dialects of Brahui are Kalat, Jharawan, and Sarawan. Kalat Brahui is the standard dialect.

Dari

Dari is a member of the Iranian branch of the Indo-Iranian family of languages, a sub family of Indo- European. It is one of the official language of Afghanistan. It is written in Arabic alphabet, and it very Similiar to Farsi and Baluchi. about one third of Afghanis speak Dari.

Urdu

Urdu is the Lingua Franca of Pakistan and similiar to India's national language Hindi. Because of the similiarity speakers of the both language can understand one another. It is an Indo-European langauge and It is very influenced by Farsi and Arabic.
